Alexander Johansson

Swedish Techno producer Alexander Johansson. Known from the old school techno duo A.Johansson & M.Fridell, with their massive pounding beats.In his early years Alexander got hooked with the electronic music scene and developed a special interest for different kinds of music.

He started to play guitar when he was 8. Back then its was mostly Nirvana, Pearl Jam etc. But there was something about techno that got him to start buying records of it.

As the years went, Alexander also got interested in deejaying & producing. He met up Mattias Fridell,someone that shared his interest like no one other at the time.
They produced music & played as Deejays together, but never had the guts to send their music anywhere,they were too picky about the content and constantly produced new, bigger & better tracks.

Turning the time forward to around their 18th birthdays Mattias & Alexander teamed up with 2 other friends & started the small organization Boot-Media,which organized parties with electronic music and other events. Soon the ideas was born to start a record label.

The process was slow and painful but eventually they had a concept they believed in, doing everything from artwork & music as well as administration,they got backed up by Boot-Medias creative financial man, Anton Johansson.The birth of the record label Embowel was a fact, and their Solutions Ep were hailed by people in the scene.

After some years of laying low with techno producing.
Alexander had several conversations with Mattias about starting making techno music again, like the old days.His first thought was that the scene had changed to much for him.But he made the decision to power up the studio and produced music once again.

Tontek Records come this February with a lot of new releases. Tek-No-Bee and Tony Demoet have been working hard this month to bring you the funkiest,the grooviest, the hardest new techno sounds.

With 2 new members to the Techno family bringing you quality Techno from the Netherlands.

First new member is Memoria from Italy bringing the drumcode style techno sound with their new releases Swedish Meatballs and Nephenta. This track by the stranger Memoria is a real techno floor filler! This track contains a massive beat with some latin influences. Memoria is a new producer on TonTek Records and will do some more releases in the future. There have already been some good responses.

Also new to the Family is Anthony Abuse This Techno producer comes from the south of Holland with his harder techno style he will be bringing the booming Techno sound. His production is called closing time with 2 remixes by Tony Demoet and Tek-No-Bee. This stomping production will hit the clubs. This booming track will be released in the second week on March!

Tek-No-bee has been busy this month with both 2 new productions. Tek-No-Bee has been infected by Techno since 1999 and now he comes with his first release for Tontek Records with this awesome oldschool track. It’s called What the f#ck and what the luck is the more funkier one. Label owner and producer Tek-No-Bee lets his funky beats and pumping synths and lots of FX sounds to blow your mind! These 2 productions are dance floor fillers you don't want to miss!

West Allis is a new Track by Tony Demoet on TonTek Records, this track is a massive techhouse/techno track with some great detroit sounds. Be sure to listen this release because its rocking all the way!

Founded by Bjarne Nooter and Tony Demoet in 2008, Tontek Records released its first single in January 2009. It’s mission statement was to showcase the finest established techno producers alongside promising young and up coming artists, from around the globe and from the Netherlands. It has developed an instantly recognizable ‘sound’ and wants to deliver quality. Tontek Records is a digital label which aims to promote electronic music much further.

In 2005 Dj Tek-No-Bee met Dj/Producer Tony Demoet. They found out that they both shared the love for Techno. Since then Dj Tek-No-Bee has evolved as Dj and started in 2008 with the help of Producer Tony Demoet on producing. Tony Demoet made some killer productions for Protocast,Algophia Records and Pray 4 More Records.

Bjarne Goldbeck or a.k.a Tek-no-bee started spinning records for almost 10 years ago, after being infected by techno at an Awakenings party. Since 2003, Bjarne has gone pro and has been performing all over the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Slovenia and the Czech Republic. This talented DJ even had a chance to play on a train on the way to Slovenia.

Tek-No-Bee is the sort of DJ/producer who knows exactly what the crowd wants and will defenitly take you to the next level with his pumping techno beats

Anthony Abuse from the south of Netherlands was 15 years of age when he got in touch with producing electronic music. The music he was producing at that time was Hardstyle.

After a year or 2 the interest for listening Techno became bigger and bigger and at the age of 18 he fell in love again. Techno had taken over his life. When starting producing Techno he realized that this was a lot more complicated than Dj-ing. He likes the Harder Techno styles and this will show in his productions.

Darren Jones started producing at an early age with music creation software. It wasn’t professional but it helped him in learning basic producing skills. At the age of 15 he started using music sequencers which helped him on producing techno music. During that period, he met his friend and partner Steve Seguna. They began to produce tracks together under the name of ‘’Blank Powerful System” and played in quite a few clubs.

At that time Darren Jones was fed up of the same style he wanted something new, something different that didn’t have the same rhythm with a bunch of repetitive drums.Darren Jones discovered a mix called “Food for thought” which was mixed by Surgeon. The style was quite different; it had different sounds and didn’t work on a straight 4 pattern. He then started working on this music genre and released his first EP called Drowned in 2007.

Towards the end of 2007 his partner Steve gave Darren Jones a chance to play live for the first time at his event called “Distorted Education”. People loved it and he kept on playing live till this day.

A producer from the northcoast of holland.

Infected by the sound of electronic dancemusic at the age of 16, he decided to make his own tracks on his old computer with fasttracker 2.

A few years later his interest in acid house and old house records began to grow, and slowly his sound became more oldschool.
This was the time that he decided to buy some old synthesizers and an old hardware sequencer and make some traxx.

Then Techno came in the picture, and he fell in love again with a new sound.
Nowadays he tries to mix those 2 sounds together, especially the sound of the Roland TB-303.

Infected by the sound of the Roland TB-303 since the first time he heard it,
he tries to incorporate this little acidmachine in every track he makes, to take the 303 into the next generation of Techno.

Mattias Fridell

Swedish Techno producer Mattias Fridell born in the early 80s, known for his mechanically & synthetic driven sound structures, is a man involved in many projects. His music is described as a futuristic synthesized realm containing grooves and pounding beats with extreme production & outstanding ideas.

In his early years Mattias got hooked with the electronic music scene fast and developed a special interest for different kinds of music. Coming from a music-interested family, the step to produce & write his own music was just a matter of time. Recording & mixing music with a double cassette-deck that his parents bought him was most likely a foundation for his early productions, as well as playing on his parents Yamaha-keyboard & Organ. Mattias first productions was recorded on tape with a cheap microphone.

As the years went, Mattias also got interested in playing music & deejaying with his friends. Music from the Rave & Acid scene grow just stronger & more impotent to him. Mattias met up Alexander Johansson, someone that shared his interest more then any other at the time. They produced music & played as Deejays together, but never had the guts to send their music anywhere, they were too picky about the content and constantly produced new, bigger & better tracks. Turning the time forward to around their 18th birthdays Mattias & Alexander teamed up with 2 other friends & started the small organization Boot-Media, which organized parties with electronic music and other events. Soon the ideas was born to start a record label. The process was slow and painful but eventually they had a concept they believed in, doing everything from artwork & music as well as administration, they got backed up by Boot-Medias creative financial man, Anton Johansson. The birth of the record label Embowel was a fact.
